Is it normal wearing the faja and having lower back pains?

Question

I am 6 days post op wearing my faja with the foams, ab board and back board 23 hours of the day. I find that during the day my back doesn't hurt as much but in the night I wake up with some the discomfort of back pains. I thought it was the back board so I took out the back board and sleep with everything else on but the pain is still there. What should I do and is this normal? I read that the faja and back board helps correct slouched posture is that the reason I am feeling pains?

Pain is normally felt after surgery. It might persist for a few weeks to a few months but would resolve on its own. Pain medication prescribed by your board-certified plastic surgeon would help ease the discomfort.

You are currently feeling what we consider to be normal at 6 days post-op. The back is the zone that is most susceptible pain after liposuction.
As long as you do not have any seromas or fluid build up you should continue to use the pain and anti-inflammation medication your surgeon prescribed.
During your follow-ups you can advise your doctor if the pain is ongoing and they will be able to discuss what treatments or changes need to occur to relieve discomfort.
