I had tumescent liposuction of my calves and ankles under local anesthesia this morning. My legs are still quite numb though i have pain and tightness in my calf muscles. I am still draining quite a bit. One thing that surprised me is that my legs feel very cold in the areas where fat was removed. What is the cause of the feeling? Is it normal?

Yes, the epinephrine can initially increase your heart rate and your blood pressure. Your cardiologist will be the one to determine if you should have liposuction or not.
Yes, it is expected to be swollen and lumpy at this early time in your healing. Do wear your compression garment faithfully, and do massages to help decrease the swelling. Avoid excess activities like running and aerobics for now.
Complete healing takes 6 months, but you should be back to all normal activities by 4 weeks. For a desk job, being back after 1 week is very reasonable.
