Can microdermabrasion be done on skin which currently has a bit of acne and is taking photosensitive medication?

I've been taking minocyline for my acne for about a month and although it has not completely cleared up my acne, it has made a small difference. However, I do have a lot of hyper pigmentation from my acne. I was interested in microdermabrasion to help eliminate some of the dark spots. Would it be wise to do it while I'm still on medication which makes my skin sensitive to lights and increases sensitivity in general? Also, will there be any issues since is till have some mild acne. Thank you!!!!!
