How long does it take for teeth sensitivity and gum pain from porcelain veneers to go away? (photos)

I had my veneers placed about 6 weeks ago. When I had the temporaries on I started experiencing sharp mouth pain. The dentist said the pain should go away after the the veneers were placed but I am still in pain. I went to another dentist after the veneers were placed but my X-ray came back normal. I am on painkillers everyday because my teeth are sensitive, my gum aches and at times my jaw hurt. Will the pain ever go away? I had 16 veneers placed (8 at the top and 8 at the bottom).

Please have your dentist check your bite and make sure the bite is adjusted as it can lead to pain and discomfort. You may also have triggered TMJ pain due to the long mouth opening during the treatment. Please visit a chiropractor to massage your TMJ as well.
Please also wear a nightguard to alleviate pressure at night.
