I am going getting married in September and would like to get my teeth whiter for the big day. I planned on using white strips but I also get my teeth professionally whitened for big events. I am assuming I should create a gap in between using white strips and getting them professionally whitened to prevent major enamel erosion.

I agree with the suggestion of KOR whitening. It is the best on the market. If the KOR does not brighten your lower teeth as much as you would like, veneers would be the only other option.
