I have had IPL and electocautery for broken capillaries on chest. They are still there. Anything else?

IPL is a great treatment for facial rejuvenation. It works well for redness and broken capillaries. For my patients I usually start with conservative settings at the first treatment and go more aggressive on subsequent treatments if there were no issues. Broken capillaries are challenging because they can take several treatments for full effects and they come back so maintenance treatments are required. The safety and efficacy of this treatment has not been tested on women who are pregnant or breast feeding and we do not treat women who are pregnant or breast feeding. There are a number of options that you can explore. Pictures would be helpful. Veinwave is an excellent treatment for what you describe. It is a radiofrequency energy delivered through a tiny needle. In addition, IPL could work, but maybe the settings have not been optimized? It may depend on your skin type as well. The ND:Yag laser may also be a good option for you.  I would wait until after you have delivered.

I much prefer the V-Beam to IPL for red spots.  If you post photos it would be easier to ascertain what the problem is.  Please consult an expert in V-Beam for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

You can have results from a broad spectrum light treatment unless the vascular lesion is deeper and needs a more precise laser for the job. We use V beam or Gentle YAG as a way to treat deeper red vessels that have shown to be persistent. The precise red dots you describe sound like possible Cherry Angiomas and can be treated with either of the lasers stated above. You can look forward to possible bruising or darkening of the specific lesions in these areas if you treat them sufficiently after the laser session.
