I have fair skin (type 2 on the fitzpatrick scale) and dark hair. Would the yag laser (1064nm) work on me for hair removal?

I have heard that Alexandrite or Diode lasers would be best for my skin type but none of the clinics I am considering have those. However, I have also heard that yag lasers are good on fair skin with dark, thick/coarse hair which I do have on some areas, but it is fine in others. Please recommend what you think would be best!!
