Thank you for your question. Yes, Botox can help eliminate bands around the neck. In our practice we use a combination of Botox and dermal fillers. When Botox is injected into the platysma muscle, the muscle relaxes and muscle movement is minimized. Additionally, dermal fillers are used to restore volume to superficial lines. As a result, the skin is smooth and supple.
"Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination with lasers and microneedling with PRP to get the optimal outcome. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to create an individualized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer"
Your neck rings are inherited, as well as due to age and especially photodamage. You can smooth them out by using Botox, Dysport or Xeomin to create what’s called a Nefertiti neck lift. It will last about three to four months. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at creating a smoother, more uplifted neck by using Botox in the platysmal bands.
Thank you for your question. You are right, in many cases Botox can help horizontal ring-like neck lines. In your case however, it seems like the ring lines are due to a mild skin laxity and thus the best option for you in my opinion, based on your photograph, would be overall neck skin tightening with a radiofrequeny treatment such as ThermiSmooth or Fractora (microneedling with radiofrequency) along with appropriate skin treatment creams such as Defenage and also Sent Neck Firming cream. The best would be for you to be evaluated in person by a board certified specialist who has experience in these treatments and shows high success rates. An in person consultation is needed to evaluate it but it appears from your photos that the best way to treat these wrinkles is with Botox. This is called the "Nefertiti Lift" and involves placing small amounts of Botox to the neck area to help treat these wrinkles. These line are genetic and not due to aging. Please consult an expert in Botox for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
Thank you for posting your photo with your interesting question. It appears that you have some neck rings that can be improved with a hyaluronic acid filler. I recommend that you have a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced with this procedure. Best wishes,Richard Wellington Swift, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Let me start by saying that you do not have an old lady's neck. At any point on the body where there's flexion, there will be folds or lines. The lines you see on your neck have been there since birth and they cannot be treated with anything, especially botox. You do have a small amount of submental fat or fat that is present immediately under the chin area which you can address with liposuction. You can see a plastic surgeon like myself and make sure they're well versed in such procedures. Good luck from New York City
Thanks for your question Suzi. Unfortunately it seems that the toxin you had injected has migrated to the wrong muscles of where it was intended. This could be because you had slightly too much at the wrong depth. This asymmetry will wear off to a cosmetically acceptable level within a month but...
Hello, I can see from your photos that your left eyebrow naturally sits/has a stronger muscle pull than your right eyebrow. There are several ways to address this - either correct the hyperactive muscle (frontalis) on the left brow. Or to match it, you can aim to relax the depressor muscles....
Botox injections can be helpful for the crows feet and between the eyebrow. Because the eyelid skin is so thin, it generally ages before other areas resulting in crepiness or fine wrinkles. Possible treatment options may include collagen induction treatment, chemical peeling, or lasering. Your...
