One of my nostrils is flat, higher, and wider than the other. What can I do? (Photo)

31/f, I've had several rhinoplasty surgeries, and at this point my nose has one nostril that appears to sit higher, wider, and is flatter. It's really the flatness and the slight notch that bothers me. I'd really really like to get rid of this, preferably under a local anesthesia and the path of least resistance. What would you recommend for me specifically? My dr has tried to address this several times to no avail.

Based on your photos, your left nostril appears to be higher than your right nostril. if your nostril margin is soft to the touch, a permanent non surgical nose job maybe considered for lowering the high side to match the other. An examination would be necessary to determine your candidacy for this. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Good Afternoon! For nostril asymmetry, there are options. Some can be performed in clinic, but it all depends on what was previously done and the current anatomy. A composite graft from the ear is a powerful maneuver to lower the nostril margin to create better symmetry. Rim grafts can work, though they aren't as strong. Lateral crural strut grafts with repositioning of the lower lateral cartilages also can help. The latter needs to be done as a revision procedure under general anesthesia. To condition the skin, I often have patients "stretch" the higher nostril downward to condition the skin. Hope this helps!
