I’m a 22 year old male. I had a mole remove from my lower back and now I have a depressed scar on my lower back. It is approximately 1 cm wide. What can be done to improve the scar?

Sorry you have this problem. Clearly, there is a depressed, stretch scar and tram track stitch marks--both  the result of a surgical excision. Going forward, you might wish to discuss Scalpel Sculpting should you need any other moles removed--procedure that requires no deep cutting nor stitches, which results a cut that is more flush with the surrounding skin (i.e. not indented) and no stitch tracks, since no sutures need be placed. At this point, subcision can be used to elevate and smooth the indentation, following which professionally performed microneedling can be used to improve the superficial, surface and texture of the scar for better blending with the surrounding normal skin. Make sure to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with experience in subcision and be wary of claims for this or that expensive, faddish, fraxel laser or RF devices that may be offered to you.
