Scar on jaw line: what would be the best approach to treat this scar? (photos)

The scar pulls back when I tilt my head over. I believe it's a contracture? What are the difficulties of treating scars on the jawline?

The scar has both a hypertrophic component, which is likely the primary cause of the contracture and tightness and a depressed portion. Intralesional triamcinolone in varying amounts and concentrations sometimes, when necesssary, combined with other antiinflammatory agents, such as 5-FU, can prove quite helpful for softening and flattening the elevated component and permitting freer movement. If so desired, subcision may be used to elevate and smooth the indented upper portion seen in the photo. Make sure to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist.. Best of luck.
