I found an article “Retinol, at concentrations greater than the physiological limit, induces oxidative stress and apoptosis in human dermal fibroblasts” (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15009115/) and now I’m afraid that my skin fibroblasts may have died after regular use of tretinoin gel 0.1% and face wash gel with retinyl palmitate together. Is it safe to use tretinoin 0.1% and retinyl palmitate together and may it induce oxidative stress and apoptosis in skin fibroblasts?
