Hello everyone. I have incredibly discolored skin near my back, it's weird colors some parts of the skin are dark and other parts are light. Are these stretch marks? How do I go about treating this? Any help would be great, I am super insecure about it.

It would be unwise to treat this yourself without a proper consultation with an experienced physician You would be wise to consult with a board certified dermatologist who can not only diagnose the condition (which, at least from the one photo could be anything from acanthosis nigricans to tinea versicolor--but not stretch marks), but also recommend and initiate the appropriate, specific treatment or combinations of treatment approaches specific for the condition. Livedo reticularis, commonly known as mottled skin, causes patterned areas to appear on the skin. It may result from reduced blood flow to the skin, for example, because of a health condition or cold weather. Mottled skin may be temporary.Primary or idiopathic livedo reticularis: This is mottled skin that does not have a cause.Secondary livedo reticularis: This is mottled skin caused by an underlying condition.Many things can reduce the flow of oxygenated blood to the skin, which means many things can cause livedo reticularis. Doctors sort diagnoses into different categories to make it easier to understand the potential causes.
If the rash is associated with systemic symptoms, must check whether the rash is livedo reticularis or livedo racemosa, a related condition that also causes mottling.
