Two failed hair transplants at 29. Where do I go from here? (Photos)

Question

I’ve had two hair transplants totaling $22k and 2700 fue grafts to the corners of my hairline. The first one was really bad, and the second one isn’t looking much better at 8 months out. The density is really thin and patchy. I’m 29 years old and am really upset and confused as to what to do next? Do I get a third transplant? My doctor said I have at least 2500 grafts left.

Hello and thank you for your question.  I am so very sorry to hear about your bad experiences. It makes me very angry when I hear about doctors who take advantage of people. That being said, I think the best thing for you to do is nothing at this point.  Give it some time, see if you lose more hair as you age and at some point in the future see a reputable dermatologist for advice and a possible referral for a surgeon.  Best wishes to you.

Receding hairline is not a hair loss because of ongoing process of androgenetic alopecia but  a simple juvenile type maturing of frontal hair line.  That is seen almost every young boys almost between 16-21 that have a very rounded hairline without recession in the corners.  Recession in the corners is a sign of mature pattern male frontal hair line. So I dont advice you to have a hair restoration surgery !

Thank you so much for the question and I personally feel very bad that you've had a pathetic hair transplant and you have every reason to be very very. Upset with the result, Further the cost of the procedure really shocks me because these procedures never cost more than two thousand or three thousand u s dollars anyway, Even if you had done long hair transplant the maximum cost would have been about six thousand dollars. My suggestion to you is to now search for someone who can do a really good hair transplant for you and takes absolute assurance and gives you guarantee that hair will grow, Please do not lose heart because there are good surgeons who will give you amazing results with hair transplant.
