Is 20 too young for buccal fat removal? Will it make you age more long-term?

Hi I am asian and I have a wide cheeks I want to make my face slimmer so I was thinking about buccal fat removal but upon researching, I found out after buccal fat removal, your face will look more hollow as you grow older and you would age faster/older. And doing buccal fat removal at age 20 isn’t really good is that true? Should I do Botox instead?

Thank you for your question. When performed by an experienced surgeon, buccal fat removal can create a more slender and youthful appearance, particularly in someone who has excess fullness in the lower third portion of the face prior to the procedure. Since this tissue is not grown back, the results of buccal fat pad removal are permanent. 
If you’re unsure about surgery, Botox is a great option for slenderizing and defining the jawline. When injected into the masseter muscle, its size is reduced to provide a slimming effect that generally lasts 3-4 months. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can answer all of your questions more in-depth and help you decide on the best approach.

Hi! There! Depending on the look you are going for if you want a chiseled jawline, buccal fat removal, and Botox on the masseter muscle, combined with a little filler to define the jaw could be a great option.
If you like a little fullness on your cheek, Botox and filler can work well to give you some definition on your jawline and your chin. 
You might want to consult with an expert filler injector or a board-certified plastic surgeon before you make a decision.

You may get botox in your masseter muscle, it helps slimming that area, Buccal fat pad removal will help you slim your cheeks in the area right next to your mouth. Every patient is different and a treatment should be tailored to every individual.
Buccal fat pad removal is also done in facial rejuvenation surgery.
