Is Morpheus8 the best treatment for sagging jowls? (photos)

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Morpheus8 uses radiofrequency (heat) to tighten the skin and lift the face. The lower face (jaw line, jowls, marionettes lines) and neck area in my opinion are the most challenged area to treat as the results are not always satisfactory and what you would you expect. The reason of this is that the ageing process (bone and fat absorption, reduction of collagen and skin elasticity) involves also the upper and mid face: temporal area, cheek, mid face. My approach always involves a detailed assessment of the face and the neck as a whole unit in order identify the ageing trigger points and so understand which areas of the face need to be prioritised and treated in order to restore the volume lost and achieve a lifting and natural looking effect.
In my opinion and based on my experience the best approach in you case should be the combination of fillers on the upper and middle face (not on the lower face ) to give structure and support to the lower face AND Radiofrequency procedure ( e.g. Face/Necktite and Morpheus 8 or Renuvion/J plasma)) for tissue contraction ( fat and skin tightening) on the lower face (jaw line, jowls, marionette lines). The procedure can be performed awake with local anaesthesia.
On the neck area the combination of botulinum toxin and Profhilo® is a good option if you want to increase skin tone, texture and tightness.
I would recommend to make an appointment with a surgeon expert in face/neck treatments including skin tightening procedures for a medical/surgical assessment in order to make a bespoke treatment.

Hi! In answer to your question, you are an ideal candidate for Morpheus 8. Many of my patients, including myself, went for the Morpheus 8 treatment, primarily because of that joweling that you would like to see gone. Morpheus 8 is great at shrink wrapping skin. The treatment would lift, tighten and tone your face in that area. The Morpheus 8 also offers a small amount of lipolysis for certain areas. I believe Morpheus it would be a great treatment for you to help you with overall tightening and toning of your trouble areas, as well as just boosting collagen. I hope this has helped!

The best treatment for sagging jowls is a facelift. You appear to have a thin skin type and the effects of Morpheus 8 will be minimal. It will provide some minimal skin tightening and texture improvement. Multiple treatments with Morpheus may be required.

Morpheus8 and Accutite would be a great option for the lower face and jowls. Accutite can help target the area and Morpheus8 will tighten the skin and give a nice lift.

Morpheus8 is an excellent treatment for saggy jowls. As we age, the shape of our face changes from heart shaped to more boxy and heavy at the bottom as a result of our fat pads separating and falling during the natural aging process. While this is a normal pattern of facial aging, it is not an area that we want to add any volume to in the form of dermal fillers. This is an area where we need tightening and de-bulking. Morpheus8 is excellent because it accomplishes both. In the more superficial settings, I use Morpheus8 to tighten the skin and help reduce the appearance of static creases and folds. Then, I go back over these areas with a deeper, longer pulse to help eliminate some of the excess fullness that contributes to the jowls.
