Can filler be dissolved partially?

I have very full mid cheeks and i want them toned down a little but not completley gone. Is this procedure done? There are no lumps or bumps. Its just too much. Theres probably 2-3 ml there and i look like a chipmunk. Wll it look lopsided if its partially dissolved?
