It’s completely understandable to feel concerned at the 6-month mark, but what you’re experiencing sounds fairly typical for this stage in the DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) process. Hair growth after a transplant can vary significantly from person to person, and while some people might see more pronounced results by 6 months, others may take longer to see substantial growth.
Typically, by 6 months, you should see early hair growth, but it’s important to remember that this growth is still in its immature phase. The hairs can be fine or patchy at this stage. It’s often around the 8-12 month mark that you’ll notice a more dramatic improvement in both density and overall coverage. As for the crown area, it’s one of the slower regions to show results, so it’s not uncommon for that to lag behind a bit.
I would advise patience, as the transplanted hairs can take time to mature, thicken, and blend with your natural hair. If by 12 months you’re still not seeing the progress you expect, it may be worth re-evaluating the outcome, but right now, what you’re describing sounds well within the range of normal recovery.
