I accidentally took anti inflammatory before lip filler appt

Question

I forgot & accidentally took one 3mg low dose naltrexone 60 hours before my lip filler appointment is supposed to take place. Should I reschedule my appointment or is it probably ok? I don’t want extra bruising or swelling. Or Anything I can do to help prevent bruising/swelling ?

Taking an anti inflammatory may increase your risk slightly of bruising from lip filler.  Keep in mind you can bruise if no anti inflammatory medications were taken.  To help minimize bruising and swelling you can use cold compresses before and after treatment.  You can also consider the supplements arnica and bromelain to help.

Apply Arnica: Consider using arnica cream or tablets before and after your procedure, as they may help reduce bruising and swelling.

Use Cold Compresses: After the procedure, applying a cold compress to the area can help reduce swelling and minimize bruising.

Stay Hydrated and Eat Healthily: Maintaining good hydration and consuming a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can support your body’s healing processes.

Follow Post-Procedure Instructions: Adhere closely to any aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner to ensure optimal healing and results.
