Hi, I have a fatty face in particular cheeks and below chin. Does Thermage FLX reduce fat or kill fat cells (because of the heat at fat layer)? So that my face will be slimmer? Thanks in advance.
Answer: Does Thermage FLX reduce fat or kill fat cells? Hello, Thermage FLX has gained popularity in recent years and is the most effective device globally for jaw contouring. It is the only monopolar radiofrequency system capable of heating the skin to 80 degrees Celsius beneath the surface. It's the ideal choice for the first application in facial lifting and skin rejuvenation, creating a V-shaped appearance. Thermage FLX does not have the ability to break down fat in the chin or other body areas. Therefore, when such specific situations arise, complementing with Ulthera for that region is the most suitable option. Depending on the thickness of the fat tissue, Ulthera offers different ultrasound heads that penetrate deeper. When there's fluctuation in jaw contouring and sagging in the cheeks, fillers should not be preferred. Treatment methods that primarily tighten the skin should be applied first. This is because if the skin isn't tightened, the fillers will succumb to gravity, causing the face to appear rounder and the neck shorter than it actually is. Hence, the primary focus should be correcting the loss of elasticity in the skin. Thermage FLX features a cold tip and vibration system, ensuring no damage to the skin and no impact on social life. It rejuvenates and renews the skin, with effects lasting a considerable amount of time. Though the sensation varies from person to person, it generally feels like a rubber band snap—painless and mild. As it isn't a surgical facelift treatment, it doesn't involve surgical complications, making it highly reliable with natural-looking results. In the Thermage FLX treatment protocol, additional focused ultrasound methods like Ulthera for excess fat, additional lasers for skin spots or acne scars, and mesotherapeutic injections may be recommended. Thermage FLX is a recommended, reliable, and high-standard treatment protocol for anyone seeking to maintain facial expressions and prevent drastic changes in their appearance.

Answer: Facial Fat - Not a Thermage Indication Thermage isn't the answer here.If you have excess body weight in general it often shows on the face. Some women simply have a "baby face" that tends to look more round. Skilled makeup application can alter the perception of facial fullness and might be a good and simple answer to cheeks that are not as sculpted as you'd like. You may be able to reduce the under chin fat with CoolSculpting and/or Kybella.Skin "tightening" devices won't eliminate fat deposits, so you have to consider other options.

Answer: Best treatments for fat reduction Hello and thank you for your question. Thermage is a nonsurgical skin tightening treatment that works in the dermal structure to contract tissue and firm skin from the inside out. This device is not designed for fat reduction nor does it reach this level. For fat reduction, I would recommend a treatment like CoolSculpting or liposculpture. It is best for you to make an appointment with an experienced, board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who can provide you with a comprehensive, in-person assessment and create a treatment plan that precisely meets your needs and expectations. Good luck to you!

Answer: Thermage Thank you for your message! If you are looking to reduce fat, Thermage would not be the answer. Thermage is monopolar radiofrequency, heat, that goes into the skin to create controlled inflammation which your body heals by creating collagen and elastin. Thermage will help tighten and lift the face3 however. Weight loss, Kybella injections, and/or CoolSculpting may be options for facial slimming for you however, especially under the chin! I would recommend a consultation with a provider in your area for further evaluation!
