6 weeks post op Septoplasty- Nose deviation

Hello, I'm currently post operation newly 6 weeks, my nose still swelling, my left nostril is still half blocked, it seems crocked.. Is this normal? Is the swelling making it harder to breath or should I check my doc? Thank you

15 days is still too soon to be able to determine the results.  There is likely still swelling inside the nose that is contributing to your symptoms.  However, it is best that you follow up with your surgeon and discuss you concerns.

Hi and thanks for the question. You should definitely see your surgeon in the next day or two. You may have a permanent suture (stitch) which has extruded, meaning the body is spitting it out. The soreness could be the sign of an infection. The stitch would probably need to be snipped and ...

Packing is sometimes used after nasal surgery, but it must be removed or there is a risk of infection.  It is quite rare for it to be 'lost' or fall out.I do not use packing in nasal surgery - it is often uncomfortable and does not affect long-term results in my experience.
