The full answer is we don't know whether Coolsculpting / Cryolipolysis is safe with lipedema. There are at least theoretical concerns that because there is increased inflammation in lipedema tissue there may be a greater risk of a bad outcome with Coolsculpting / Cryolipolysis. I am sorry I am not able to provide a more definitive answer, but the treatment has not been studied in patients with lipedema.
Thanks for your question and are we describing lymphedema here? If so, know that cryolipolysis is FDA cleared to treat fat and that lymph is not fat and there are no studies that I am aware of that this would do anything for you. Lymphedema is best treated with massage and bandaging, not with cryolipolysis.
