Is the HLA-B27 antigen blood test an accurate predictor of whether one will have autoimmune symptoms due to breast implants?

HLA-B27 antigen blood test cannot predict the likelihood of developing an autoimmune disease. A family member of a person who is positive for HLA-B27 and has an autoimmune disorder may be tested, but the test result cannot be used to predict whether the tested person will develop a related autoimmune disease.

at the moment, there is no reliable test for diagnosis of BII and also it is not possible to tell who will develop symptoms. In vast majority of cases, patients won't have any symptoms cause by breast implants. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

The probability of an autoimmune response to the currently 6th generation implants is extremely remote ,The HLA-B27 is a more accurate predictor to other unrelated autoimmune disorders.
