Unfortunately, light hair doesn't respond to laser hair removal treatments in the same way that dark hair does. The efficacy of the treatment can depend on your hair pigmentation. Hair with deeper pigmentation is able to absorb more of the laser energy, meaning the treatment can be less effective on light or white hair. All laser hair removal processes are based around this principle, so at this moment, your best option for hair removal wouldn't involve a laser.
Hi, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately there are no lasers to treat grey hairs. You can try electrolysis. Kindly meet a board certified plastic surgeon or a dermatologist who can treat you. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. Please consider consulting in-person with a board certified facial plastic surgeon so you can review the right procedure for you. Best wishes,
Thank you for your question. Laser hair removal is most effective on dark hair follicles. Unfortunately white/ blonde hair are not effected or removed by laser hair removal machines. Consult with an experienced medical aesthetician or board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Thank you for the question. Unfortunately there is no laser that can remove white hair. You can use electrolysis to remove white hair. Wish you the best in health.LOVA- Lake Oswego Vein and Aesthetic
Laser hair removal is usually not very effective on blonde, red, gray, and white hair. As you grow old, the melanocytes in your hair deplete over a period of time. This causes a reduction in the level of melanin in your hair that ultimately leads to your hair turning gray. When there’s absolutely no melanin left in your hair, it turns white. You can look to other natural treatments for removal such as threading or waxing, or try electrolysis treatments which is a more permanent way to remove the hair.
Unfortunately there are no lasers that can target and destroy the hair follicle in white hair. I typically refer my patients with white hair for electrolysis as this is their only option. Keep in mind that electolysis also requires significantly more time for reduction.Best wishes, Pamela Stuart, MD
Unfortunately no.The laser works by targeting melanin, the pigment in our follicles. The light is focused on the follicle of the growing hair, which is heated and destroyed. The only service that gets rid of white hairs would be electrolysis at this moment
