How do I lighten a tattoo? (Photo)

Question

Yesterday i got a tattoo of clouds behind my deceased fathers portrait. I know new tattoos are darker, but I wanted the clouds to look less dark and background grey. What can i treat it with to make it look at least a little lighter and less vibrant? Thanks!

Tattoo Removal doesn’t always have to be used to actually
remove the tattoo. It can be used to lighten tattoos as well! Just make sure to
talk to your doctor and make it clear that you DON’T want the tattoo completely
removed, but faded instead. The process is similar, but you will need less
treatments than a complete removal

Tattoo removal is an option to help lighten your tattoo. Here at our office we offer a laser called Pico Way which enables removal of multi-colored tattoos, recalcitrant tattoos and benign pigmented lesions on any skin type. It's unique mode of action is based on delivering ultra-short picosecond pulses of energy to the tissue causing a burst of energy to create a photo-mechanical impact which breaks up the tattoo ink or pigmentation into smaller making it easier to eliminate the broken down ink particles. Treatments are done six to eight weeks apart but the amount of treatments are unknown- a consultation will be needed. After your treatment we suggest that you keep the hydrogel bandage that is put on before you leave the office for at least three days as well as keeping the treatment area dry.
