The filling in of hip dips varies depending on the anatomy of one patient versus the other. “Primary hip dips” occurs when there is a lack of fullness or fat in the area just beyond the outer edges of gluteus muscles. This is best and only permanently treated with soft silicone rubber cosmetic hip implants. “Secondary hip dips” occurs when there is a concavity (like a valley) on the outer side of the buttock that is a result of a mound of love handle fat above and saddlebag fat below. Your case it appears to be more Secondary hip dips. To treat this situation. Liposuction of the love handles above and sandlenags below will remedy 90+% of the problem. If you want more of an exaggerated hour-glass figure, the only way to provide permanent hip augmentation is with cosmetic hip implants. Although fat transfer is an option, most of the time it melts away leaving an unsatisfactory result. Glad to help.
It would be necessary to have an in person consultation to answer this question. However, I think the best option is probably fat transfer, and you may have enough harvestable fat to make this a worthwhile procedure. It is possible that you may need 2 sessions several months apart to achieve adequate correction. Cost varies but you can expect to spend around $5-7K for this procedure.
Hello dear! Thanks for the photo and provided information as well.Based on your photos you are a good candidate for liposuction and BBL. The fat transfer to your buttocks and hips, often called Brazilian butt lift has become extremely popular because it allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your waist, hips and of course your buttock.I recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals.Good luck :)
Hello, and thank you for your question. Many patient come in to my office with similar concerns. I have found great success using fat grafting to the area coupled with liposuction for added contouring to adjacent areas to give a satisfactory result. It is paramount post surgery to wear post surgical garments to ensure grafted fat survives long term, thereby keeping your immediate post surgical results. An in person consult will help you make the best decision to undergo fat grafting vs hip implants to correct your indentations. Best of luck moving forward.Dr. GrewalBeverly Hills, CA
This is a very common condition on te buttocks and breast as result of blunt trauma (hit, falling, etc) which cause the fat cells to die and in response creates internal scar tissue with an indentation as result. Unfortunately nothing to do to prevent the indentation after the event (tr...
If the asymmetry is mild and the patient has reasonable fat stores then fat transfer into the smaller buttock cheek may be considered. However in otherwise lean patients or moderate plus asymmetry, buttock implants are the only reliable and permanent option. Many patients also choose to augment...
I am only quessing since I have no history, but I have seen defects like this from blunt trauma or injections to the area leading to fat injury then fat necrosis and then the deformity. If the area is not badly scarred down, then fat transfer could possible help. See a plastic surgeon who does a...
It's not uncommon for people to have different sized muscles in the buttocks. That can either be congenital or it could be due to an injury to the muscle. In this case the asymmetry is quite significant. In this case, I would advise the correction of this with buttock fat injections.
In my opinion this is not a double fold, but more likely that your right fold is lower than your left which is more to do with anatomical differences between the left and the right gluteus and muscle fat distribution. In some cases a very experienced technique of Liposuction may improve this,...
Fat grafting would improve this area for sure. Hopefully the indented area is not scarred down which would limit the result. Seek a consultation with a plastic surgeon who does a lot of fat grafting. Good luck.
