What can be done about this lingering redness two months after having a pimple drained? (Photo)

hamonrye1
Almost two months ago I had a pimple on my upper cheek drained at a dermatologist's office. The procedure has left me with a red spot that appears to be a result of broken blood vessels underneath the skin. Is there anything I can do to treat this to help the skin return to it's normal color? I know lasers can help with vascular and broken blood vessels but is it possible this could resolve in time by it self? I fear the nurse practitioner squeezed too hard when drained my pimple. How long should I wait to get laser treatment? Are there any topical treatments or less invasive treatments I could try first?
