It's been 5 days after jaw botox. I had swollen jaw 1 day after the injection. Now it looks better but not that normal. Now my face look asymmetry. My doctor said it will be better in 2 weeks. I can feel that the muscle where the injection touched is lump and quite hard. Is that normal?

Answer: Botox is used cosmetically to remove wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing muscles.
Thank you for your question. Some injectors gently massage the area after treatment to make the forehead injections more evenly distributed. This should not cause any problem to your nose or sinus area. I recommend contacting your treating physician if you have any further concerns.
30 units seems like an adequate dose for the forehead. It is enough to treat some of the glabella and frontalis at the same time. Treating both gives the best results. Glabella is typically 20-30 in a female, and forehead is 6-12.
Thank you for your question. The purpose of the injector rubbing your forehead is supposed to smooth out the Botox injections. In my opinion I do not believe this effective. However, there is no harm in doing this. Although, I do recommend you see an experienced injector in the future.
