You have not provided any photographs or state your height or weight. However, you describe yourself as petite and small build. If you pinch your skin at your waist, you can determine how thick your fat is. If you want to be reduced about 2 to 3 inches, you must have 2 to 3 inches of fat that can be liposucted. However, surgeons cannot liposuct all the fat out because the skin would adhese to the underlying fascia. The other alternative is an abdominoplasty. An abdominoplasty requires an incision and tightens your underlying fascia in the midline, both flanks and augmented by placing mesh to create a belt like constriction. Certainly, it is possible to provide 2 to 3 inch reduction by the combination of liposuction and abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. Best of Luck, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
waist line is an important attarctive part of female body. the factors that determine your waist line are several, most importantly your underlying muscles and a layer of fat that overlies them and skin elasticity on the very surface. if a person desires a thinner waist line lipouction might be an appropriate option. that is, if there is enough fat contributing to the waist line. if there is contributing decreased muscle tone or increased skin laxity, liposuctuion alone can actaully make it worse
Thank you for the question. Liposuction and tummy tuck are effective in narrowing the waist. You will have to see a board certified plastic surgeon to determine what will work for you Best of luck, Dr. Widder
The liposuction procedure can help yield a narrower waist line. You should consult with 2 to 3 board certified plastic surgeons in your area to help set your expectations and determine which surgeon best meets your needs.
You waist size is not only based upon the thickness of your fatty subcutaneous layer but is also related to your underlying anatomy of muscle and bone. Depending upon your fatty layer thickness will determine whether or not this can be achieved.
