Veneering the two central incisors is a great idea, if you have an experienced cosmetic dentist that can match your teeth with no problem. Getting 4 veneers should be considered if your dentist indicates that it would be very difficult for him/her to match the two central incisors to the rest of your teeth. In my opinion, matching two veneers to your other natural teeth, takes the same level of expertise to match 4 veneers to your natural teeth, so I would opt for 2 veneers only. Good luck and I hope this helps. Follow me if you have more questions.Sarah Thompson, DMD
Certainly you can only two, and that is absolutely your choice. However, it would look much nicer to have your dentist make you four porcelain veneers for your four front teeth. Then all four teeth should match perfectly in color. Also, the shape and proportion would make them look the best and most natural too.One thing we oftentimes see in cosmetic dentistry is "next worst thing syndrome", whereby the patient only notices the worst things (in your case the front two teeth), but after that is solved (in your case with porcelain veneers), then the "next worst thing" then becomes the "worst thing". It would be much easier for you and give a better result if the four were all done at the same time, rather than two now, and then two later (if you later choose to do that).
Fixodent is the way to go. It's not really a glue, but rather a super sticky way to hold the porcelain in place while you smile and talk. You CAN NOT EAT or SLEEP with this in place ala Fixodent. The Fixodent will allow you to take the veneer...
I understand that you are looking to veneer your top teeth, then straighten your bottom teeth. I would simply recommend veneering all of your anterior (front) teeth on the top and bottom. The last thing you want to do is straighten your teeth and still have an issue with the...
I would say that it would depend on the size and condition of your existing white (tooth colored) fillings. Typically if the filling is just a single surface (the top of the tooth) and less than 1/2 to 1/3 the width of the top of the tooth, tooth colored fillings are very adequate and will...
