Why are my areolas still puffy 12 weeks after benelli lift with implants? Will this go away? Do I need revision surgery, if so what kind? My areolas where flat & normal looking before surgery.
Answer: Benelli Breast Augmentation Mastopexy It is still quite early following your surgery and I would definitely expect things to improve. It is likely that the lymphatic drainage of your nipple and areola has been affected by the surgery. This is very normal and it usually resolves with time.I suggest that you massage the scars. This helps encourage lymphatic flow and also helps with the scars and sensitivity.If at six months post op you still have puffy nipples then you should go back to see your surgeon for an opinion.Kind regards,Dean

Answer: BBA There are a number of possible causes but it is still early post-op. You can expect changes for up to a year. You should see your PS in person to determine if there is a suture in place that needs to be released.

Answer: Why are my areolas still puffy 12 weeks after benelli lift with implants? There are a number of possibilities. With a circular incision, the lymphatic drainage of the skin is interrupted, and prolonged swelling is not at all uncommon. Another possibility is that there was too much skin left with the areola, and that is why ig seems puffy. If the former (the more likley, I believe, this will resolved with time (about 3 months). If the latter, a minor office type revision to remove a bit of areolar skin should solve the problem.All the best.
