My 10 Year Old Scratched Her Mole at Her Lower Back Accidentally, Now Its Swollen and Seems to Be Infected, What Should I Do?

Many moles can become traumatized and lead to bleeding and redness.  If you think your daughter's mole has become infected ( increased redness/swelling, pain, or yellow drainage) I would recommend a visit to a board certified dermatologist for evaluation.

If the mole is irritated or inflamed, it may need to be removed.  Find a local dermatologist to evaluate and treat this area.
