I had to redo a root canal after a year because of slight pain. The dentist removed the crown and the crown was in good condition. What are the chances that i would have to make a new crown after doing the root canal instead of using the old crown. Is it true that the dimensions of the tooth can change and the existing cap doesn't fit anymore?

Is the tooth that looks grey root canaled? Sometimes it's very difficult to mask out the grey caused from a tooth that has been root canaled. I suggest that you go back to see your dentist and discuss your concerns with him/her.
