The dent is caused by your muscles (or the trauma to them) and the zygomatico cutaneous ligament (see supporting link below). This may be improved with a cheek filler. In the cheeks we usually use a thick filler such as Voluma, Lyft, or Radiesse. This is placed deep on the bone to give a smooth and natural surface result.

Subcision can minimize the fibrotic scar-tissue pulling down in this area, while filler (I prefer Restylane Lyft for this) to lift the skin in this area to help minimize the depression. Restylane Lyft has a higher G’ lift capacity than others like Restylane-L or Contour — but those would help some as well.
