I'm 5 months post op rhinoplasty and feel my tip is over projected . Could this be from residual swelling ? Does it look over projected to you? I had a extremely rough surgery and could this make my healing processing a lot longer ?
Answer: Overprojected Tip Swelling and bruising after rhinoplasty are generally not so severe, but each patient is different, and severe swelling may take months to completely resolve. During this time the tip may continue to shrink and yes, de-project as well. Consider following up with surgeon to express your concerns.

Answer: Healing process after rhinoplasty It looks like your nasal bones were broken. This usually makes the recovery process more rough (swelling, black and blue). The tip usually retains the swelling the longest since the skin is thicker there. On your after picture the tip does look over projected but that can fall as the swelling goes down. It's very hard to be patient when you are looking at your face every day but I would wait another 4-5 months before making any final judgments on the appearance of the tip.
