How will 628 gram breast reduction look on a pretty tall girl, 178 pounds, 71 inches tall, DDD cup?

From your photo, it appears that you are a good candidate for breast reduction surgery.  It is difficult to estimate the amount of tissue to be removed from a single picture, but it appears that you would have plenty of breast tissue left over after breast reduction to have a pleasing shape.  The amount of breast tissue that insurance requires to be removed varies depending on your insurance.  For example, Blue Cross of Alabama requires either 500 grams from each side or a total of 1000 grams of tissue to be removed.  Other insurances use a scale method.  I recommend you schedule an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon who does many breast reduction surgeries to get a better estimation of what to expect from your surgery.  Trey Aquadro, M.D.Auburn, AL

Breast Reduction is a complicated procedure that is best done by those with the most training and experience. It is very difficult to determine the resultant cup size and shape based solely on the number of grams that are removed from your breast to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast reduction and lift surgeries, including different approaches, techniques and even fat transfer and implant choices if you are lacking superior breast fullness.This is because several measurements—not to mention breast characteristics such as density—are needed to determine how much and where to remove breast tissue to meet your goals. Without knowing your existing breast shape, dimensions, and the density of your breast tissue, it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the same volume of breast tissue will weigh different amounts (measured in ounces or grams) in different people depending on its density. In my opinion you could easily remove 650 grams from both breasts and still have enough breast tissue for a nice breast volume to match your body.   

Thank you for your picture.  Your minimum of 628 g should be easily obtained.  The final amount that should be removed much greater than that to give you the best size and shape

with a reduction and if your breasts are dense (and not fluffy) you will easily meet the required minimums.  I hope you enjoy your results and the impact it will have on your life.
