Answer: Recommend doing Morpheus8. works with microneedling and radio frequency Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Microneedling for wrinkles and skin laxity Thanks for your question. I am not surprised you haven't see much change yet, and you may not see much over time. It takes at least 3 or 4 fairly aggressive microneedling treatments to make differences in severely wrinkled skin, and then you will want to wait and see how much improvement you get over time. If you are not reaching your goals, I would encourage you to see your board certified dermatologist and talk to them about resurfacing with a fractionated CO2 laser. Do some research and see if this might be a procedure that would be more along the lines of what you are looking for. Best of luck!

Answer: Microneedling Hello and thank you for your pictures and question. Microneedling is an excellent treatment to induce the collagen production. Microneedling is recommended in a series of treatments, usually 3-6 spaced every 3-4 weeks and then spaced every 3 months apart to maintain the collagen stimulation. If you are not seeing results, your provider may need to be a bit more aggressive during the procedure. Most patients see results after each treatment and continue to see improvement in the skin. It does take a full 6-8 weeks for the new collagen to appear. EndyMed Intensif RF is an excellent microneedling treatment that uses radio frequency, resulting in improving skin tightening with minimal down time. PRP is always recommended with all microneedling treatments. Hope this helps!

Answer: Should I continue microneedling treatment? Microneedling either with PRP or without it or using RF energy at the same time is best when performed at least in three sessions, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. To keep in mind new collagen fibers take about 6-8 weeks to develop. That means results will take some time to appear although the vast number of my patients can see results after one session. The question I have for you is who is performing the treatment and what is the depth of the needle?

Answer: Microneedling Than you for your question, It takes time to see results from micro-needling and requires multiple sessions for real results. Given the current condition of your skin I would expect several aggressive (deep) treatments to be necessary for optimal improvement. Best, Joseph Franzese, M.D.
