IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is a treatment that uses light andheat to even out skin tone. It is stronglyadvised that you not use any skincare products containing acids (Kojic, Hyaluronicacid, Glycolic acid, Salicylic acid, Alpha Hydroxy acid, Ascorbic acid – VitaminC and Retin A) for 3 days before and 3 days after an IPL treatment. These acidsincrease photosensitivity to light. In addition, you should wait 3-4 weeks following injectionssuch as Botox or natural fillers. Use of an SPF of at least 30 is strongly encouraged everyday for protection against sun damage but especially following an IPL treatmentto avoid skin damage.
