The miradry system attacks water that is inside of sweat glands.  It does not affect the fat and certainly not the fat in your waistline.  Perhaps you are noticing the saline that was injected as part of your numbing solution.  If so, that will be absorbed.

One of the unfortunate side effects of ETS is compensatory sweating.  MiraDry will decrease sweating in the armpits, whatever the cause.  However, it only works in the treated area (armpits).  Of note: with MiraDry, there is no side effect of compensatory sweating.

MiraDry uses microwave technology to destroy eccrine (sweat) and apocrine (odor-producing) glands in the treated areas.  It also destroys hair follicles.  In Asia, miraDry is used mainly to reduce odor, rather than to reduce wetness.  It works well for this purpose.
