Septoplasty fail rate? 4 months post-op - need it redone.

Hi I had a septoplasty with turbulent and adenoids removed Four months ago and it has been bothering me quite a bit I went in to see the surgeon and he said that the surgery failed basically and it needs to be redone I was a four plus and now am a two plus but was a zero right after surgery I'm really confused as to how that happened and how often it happens

Dear gettingdepressed It's too early to be diagnosed w ENS. You likely have significant swelling and crusting and it will take about 6 weeks for those issues to resolve. Be patient and follow your surgeons instructions.

Nose picking can lead to infection which can destroy the nose and the results of a rhinoplasty. If you are clogged then see an Otolaryngologist to find the cause. RegardsDr. Janjua
