Will my stomach become soft again after laser lipo? It is now firm/sort of bumpy which I don’t mind. When will my tummy feel normal again it is still sore without compression after 2months? Also it is sort of lopsided there is a spot on my lower left area that is puffy. Is that normal when all the other area seem fine/hard. Almost like a fat pocket.
Answer: Post Laser Lipo It is too early to have an accurate assessment of the final result. It typically can take 6 months for this area to fully heal post-op, so I would wait until then before you worry too much. It will be beneficial for you to start massaging the area, and be sure to use your compression garments as much as possible. If you are truly worried, I suggest scheduling a follow-up appointment with your operating physician. If you are still concerned at the 6 month mark, I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who is an expert in body contouring. In my practice, we have over 45 lasers that we use, sometimes in combination, to customize treatment plans for the unique needs of each of our patients.

Answer: Laser Liposuction Results and After Care -- lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, Venus Legacy / truSculpt / Exilis / Cellutone Thank you for your question. You may still have some swelling, which may last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding Vanquish for further fat removal, truSculpt iD / Exilis / Venus Legacy for skin tightening, and Cellutone/ZWave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Post liposuction problems After any kind of surgical procedure and more so after liposuction there is always significant swelling that might not be uniform and even but "patchy" creating the impression of lumps and hardness. If the procedure was performed correctly you should already see significant changes and your size and shape should look great. You have to be patient to see your final results that should be obvious by the 3 to 4 month mark.

Answer: Healing from lipo i think healing takes about 3 months.. areas that feel hard may be inflamed areas still. uneven areas may be a sign that there was not perfectly even liposuction performed but i would not make this judgement for another month or two... hard areas may represent that you are feeling your abdominal wall which used to have a few inches of fat and now there is much less fat there.. i would return to your doctor at 3 months for re evaluation.

Answer: Healing after lipo 2 months is very early in the healing timeline. Patients generally need 6-8 months to begin to return to “normal” feel and for tissue remodeling to occur. With that being said, massaging the area can help. You can have lymphatic massages performed or massage yourself at home . I would continue to wear compression at least part of the day. It’s also a bit premature to comment on the lumpy area as this could just be normal healing. If it’s still noticeable at 6 months, I would speak to your surgeon. Hope this helps! Stay active, stay positive and good luck on your new body!!
