I recently got direct composite veneers on my front teeth. What looks wrong with them? (Photos)

I am 44 years old. I have small lips and small teeth which always looked balanced on my face when I smile.My dentist gave me direct composite veneers. When she put 1 on my incisor I liked it. But i dont like the finished product. Please advice what looks wrong? I liked the shape of my original front teeth, only wanted the patchiness due to flurosis addressed. Now I have rabbit teeth. The two front teeth show weirdly when i speak or just put my face to rest. Please advice.

My typical rule with using composite to adjust the shape of the teeth is I that I only recommend this when there is a small area on one or two teeth that need corrected to fit the patients aesthetic wants and needs. Otherwise, placing composite on your natural teeth can cause many issues. For starters, most composites are not translucent and can typically make the teeth look bulky and fake. Another issue we see is that composites are not very strong, they break and stain fairly quickly. At this point, you might want to consider porcelain veneers. I would recommend looking for an experienced cosmetic dentist that has several before and after photos of cases they have recently completed. If you are worried about drilling on your teeth, you are likely a candidate for minimal drilling or even drill free veneers.
