Can I use tri luma with SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic?

F/19/AA I've been using tri-luma for a month now and it's helped some acne marks on my forehead but I'm trying to reduce the dark pigmentation on the corners of my mouth. Skinsentuals has 15% pure L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), 1% alpha tocopherol (vitamin E) and ferulic acid. And tri luma has Fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% Hydroquinone 4% Tretinoin 0.05% Can they work together safety if I use them at different times?

Yes, you may use Tri-Luma in the evening for pigmentation problems. However, this is not a product that I would suggest for long-term use.  Use at night for about 3 months and then discontinue.  Over a long period of time topical steroid use can thin the skin. Tri-Luma does contain a steroid. Once you complete the Tri-Luma, I would suggest to begin using SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense. If you are acne prone, they have Advanced Pigment Corrector that is another option to help with discoloration.
  
The CE Ferulic (topical antioxidant) should be used in the morning before your sunscreen as a base layer for additional protection. However when dealing with discoloration issues, I would suggest SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF. The targeted benefits Phloretin CF will complement other products in your skin care routine in the correction of pigmentation issues; as well as, giving you your anti-oxidant protection.

You can absolutely use both these products in your skin care routine. I would suggest using the CE Ferulic in the morning and the Tri-luma in the evening. Given that you started the Tri-luma a few months ago you are likely done with your course of Triluma. Tri-luma should not be used long term consistently as it does contain a steroid and long term use on the face isn't advisable. I typically have my patients with melasma and severe discoloration utilize Tri-luma for a 3-4 month course and then maintain with other products. Products from the Obagi NuDerm line are good for maintenance and Skin Ceuticals also has product called Discoloration Defense that is also nice for this purpose.
