I had chin liposuction twice in 6 months 3 years ago and was never happy with the results. The second time was because I voiced my disappointment in the results to my Dr. It basically deflated my chin and revealed my large salivary glads and bulging muscle and underlying fat beneath my tongue. One consult suggested an open chin z-plasty to cut out tissue. Just looking for some input on what other Dr.'s might feel my options are whether it's surgical or non-surgical. Facelift? Necklift?
Answer: A combination of Ultherapy and Morpheus8 can help tighten the skin and reduce appearance of unwanted fat under the chin. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Saggy chin options It looks like the "salivary glands" may actually be fat that was not completely removed. I know you said you had liposuction twice but one more time with a power assisted device and also removing the fat from the jowl area along with cutting the platysma bands and skin tightening would give you a nice correction. Check out the video below on the SurgY_Lift procedure which is a minimally invasive non-surgical neck lift.

Answer: Options for Deflated and Saggy Chin Correction Thank you for your question and for sharing your concerns. Based on the description of your situation and the history of chin liposuction, there are minimally invasive and non-surgical treatments available that align with our expertise and can help address the sagging and improve definition in your lower face and chin area. A combination of Accent Prime and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatments could be highly effective for improving skin laxity and enhancing the overall appearance of the chin. Accent Prime uses ultrasound and radiofrequency technologies to tighten skin and stimulate collagen production, which can restore firmness and contour to the area. This treatment is non-invasive, with no downtime, and is well-suited for addressing residual laxity from previous procedures. PRP injections, derived from your own blood plasma, can help rejuvenate and strengthen the skin, reducing the appearance of sagging by stimulating natural collagen and elastin production. When applied to the lower face and chin, PRP can complement the effects of Accent Prime and improve skin texture and quality. For those seeking a more immediate lift without surgery, Silhouette InstaLift threads may provide a subtle and natural-looking lift to the sagging tissue in the chin and lower face. This minimally invasive procedure also promotes collagen production, giving both short-term lifting and long-term rejuvenation. If further fat contouring is needed, Kybella may be an option to reduce small, targeted fat pockets under the chin, enhancing jawline definition. However, it is crucial to have an in-person consultation to determine the best approach based on your anatomy and goals. With the right combination of treatments, it is possible to achieve a more contoured and youthful chin without resorting to invasive surgery. A customized plan developed by an experienced practitioner will ensure the best results tailored to your specific needs.
