How to avoid fainting during lip filler injections?

It’s important for the doctor to ask patients to inform them as soon as they feel hot or unusual. Immediately leaning back prevents fainting. I would recommend eating something light prior to your visit. Also slight mind distractions such as ice behind the neck. Even holding a cold ice pack would hopefully help with the distraction. If your providers office offers numbing prior to injection I would suggest that also. Having a trusted injector who is able to talk you through the process may be helpful. To help reduce your risk of fainting during your filler treatment you can put cool compresses on your pulse points and neck. Have your injector recline you a little. You can also use distraction by tapping (see attached video) or listening to music on your headphones. I encourage you to talk to your injector about your concerns and ideas.
