Using Mineral Oil stopped my Hairfall. Why?

Hi , I am really wondering on this. My hair started falling 5 months back, so I started taking care of my diet etc. and it worked to some extent. But someone suggested me to used Mineral Oil. It was miracle! I used Mineral oil on my scalp and while massaging there was zero hairfall. While if I use coconut Oil (which I always use), my hair fall during the massage.The hairfall happens mostly (90%) during the application of the Oil. Also, to check it I tries massaging with plain water...and hairfall happens. But as soon as I massage with Mineral Oil...no Hair fall. How is this possible? What does mineral oil do to the hair/scalp?

Craniotomy scars will leave an area of no hair growth (on the scar) but it does not cause general hair loss after 5 years.

What happens if I stop taking Finasteride and start using Minoxidil?

If you stop taking finasteride you will lose its benefits. If you start taking minoxidil it would have no relevance with respect to finasteride.  They are two different drugs that work in two different ways.

I have been using minoxidil for a few days in the pubic area. Should I expect any negative side effects from doing this?

If you have decreased pubic hair with age and want more pubic hair, see a doctor for an exam before treating yourself.

If you are losing your hair is a "V" shape, it probably is not related to stress. If you are concerned see a doctor for a proper exam.  There is a reason they call it male "pattern" balding.

In general there is no pain associated with alopecia areata. If you are concerned you need to see a doctor for a proper exam.  There is not much the Internet can provide aside from general information.

There is no quantifiable number to say how much hair you may lose from telogen effluvium because everybody is different.
