Accutane and effects on female sex drive.

Question

I have had acne since I was 10. I am now 31. Needless to say I have tried it all and I am in the one month wait period for accutane. My biggest concern is the effects this medication will have on my sex drive and natural lubrication. As I am getting older it is already harder to climax and I have some days where I need lubricant for sex. Will taking this take away my sex drive and my ability to have comfortable and pleasurable sex?

None of my female patients have told me this is any kind of issue. Accutane affects oil glands which are much different than those needed for sexual lubrication. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
