Thank you for your question. While you can liposuction several areas at once there is a limit to how much fat can be removed safely. Risks from liposuction increase significantly when over 5 liters of fat are suctioned out. We usually stay below this limit for patient safety. We’ve found that we’re able to achieve dramatic improvements for our patients with 2 to 4 liters of liposuction, depending on their needs. Regaring the BBL, the amount of fat transferred from donor sites depends on the quantity available and the extent of buttock augmentation each patient desires. Sufficient body fat for a buttock augmentation is very patient-specific, depending on an individual’s body shape and proportions as well as their expectations. Buttock augmentation with fat grafting is one of our most popular procedures in Colombia, and from experience we can tell you that some patients do very well with 300 cc of fat per side while others can need 800 cc or more. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. A key quality indicator is Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
This is absolutely practice specific. Meaning that it varies from every plastic surgeon what is considered an "area". For example, some will split the love handles up and call the right one an area and the left one another area. Also, there are limitations to how much lipoaspirate can be removed in one setting with/without an overnight stay for monitoring. Even if the surgeon is advertising full body lipo, it may not mean that all the fat from your entire body will be removed, but more so that all areas can be liposuctioned, but the maximum amount taken out will cap at 5L. Make sure you get a specific answer to what this entails.
I appreciate your question. For health and safety reasons, best to be at a BMI less than 30 or within 10 pounds of your goal weight and stable at that weight for 6 months prior to surgery for optimal results.. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam...
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. After a BBL procedure patients can go home after a short stay in a recovery house. It takes about 7 days total to complete post operative check ups and to have sufficient reco...
Nothing too tight in terms of underwear for the first 4-6 weeks is what I advise my patients. Best to ask your surgeon.
