How long does it take to get used to a temporary crown?

My bite seems kind of off...my dentist said my teeth was aligned and even once she set the crown in but for some odd reason when I eat it feels like that tooth is hitting against the bottom of my teeth on the left side ....I'm so aggravated because I can't chew the way I want to

Teeth can be sensitive for a time after work performed even if everything is performed properly..That said, if tooth is not getting better after reasonable time you should go back to have bite checked again and or determine cause of your pain ie..nerve involvement, loose temporary, gum impingement...Dentist may have to remove temp and recement. ..Good luck

Hi:Due to the temporary crown material and fit, it is very diffcult to be able to chew normally on it.  It's best not to try to chew on the temporary crown until you final crown is cemented.Best,Dr. Maddahi
