Is it okay to microneedle at home in between office sessions?

The tiny wounds created by the microneedles can provide a pathway for bacteria to enter the skin and cause an infection. Another potential complication is scarring. It is absolutely ok to microneedle at home between sessions in the office. How quickly you want to do it after an in office session may depend on how aggressively you are being treated. I would not start home needling until redness has subsided. I would ask the person doing your treatment what they prefer in terms of when they would prefer you to stop home treatment prior to a session with them but probably ok to do even the day before.
